This challenge is a lot of fun and all you need is a 1.5 volt motor, some wire, a battery a bunch of scraps, a creative imagination and a ping pong ball. The goal is to build a robot that knocks a ping pong ball off the middle of a table. Students will learn about a complete circuit while engineering scraps together to accomplish the challenge. (You can also include a switch if you have them but they are not necessary. Students could make a switch)
You will get into teams and build a robot that knocks a ping pong ball off a table. You will use 3 volts, a few wires a switch, cardboard, wheels, cups, a 1 point 5 volt motor and tape.
