Student teams will build a float for a parade and use their EV3 to autonomously pull the float around the parade route without crashing into other floats. Your team will write if/then statements to program the color sensor so that the autonomous robot will follow the black line on the parade route that will be on the floor of the class. Each group will build a parade float and engineer a hitch to attach their float to the robot. You will test your code and make a few minor iterations in the code so that it stays on the parade route. The EV3 robots need to do exactly what you programmed them to do. Your group will program a sensor to stop when it recognizes something in front of it so they won’t crash into other parade floats.
