Lesson Overview

Teacher Overview:

In this lesson, students will create and properly address an envelope. In addition, they will properly write a letter to an adult who had a positive impact on their lives. Lastly, they will hand-deliver the letter and tell the adult, "Thank You, for being you." 
CREATE ENVELOPE - Take a piece of paper and fold it and staple it on the sides to create an envelope. ADDRESS/RETURN ADDRESS - Write the address of the person you are sending the letter to and your return address in the proper corner. Also, draw a picture of a stamp in the correct corner. LETTER - Write a Thank You letter to an adult in the school that has had a positive impact on your life. TRIFOLD/SEAL ENVELOPE - Trifold your letter and seal the envelope with tape. Lastly, deliver your letter to the adult in your school.
